Impression

Ren [苓] is Dali's vocalist and lyricist. As vocalist, he is proficient. His natural voice is pleasant, and he knows how to manipulate it to create a wide range of sounds. Ren [苓] also excels as a lyricist. His lyrics are dark and playful, but always beautiful, managing to make depression, mania, and masturbation attractive.

Ren's [苓] in-band persona perfectly captures the mania that he writes about. He takes on the air of a twisted recluse, isolating himself in photoshoots, being secretive in enquetes, and, onstage, playing with nooses one second and feigning masturbation the next. Despite the in-band persona, Ren [苓] is, in reality, a good-natured and good-humored person. His view of things is dark, but he maintains a connection with the fans, always has a good attitude at lives, and can always laugh at himself.

Impression

KEETO [ケエト] is the lead guitarist and composer. His writing has constants—synchronized stops, emphasis on guitar and drums, etc.—but it is most constant in its evolution. KEETO's [ケエト] best quality is that tendency to completely change styles between releases. Judged solely as a guitarist, he is average in ability, but he is above-average in understanding of harmony between guitar and composition.

KEETO's [ケエト] aesthetic style was initially muted, but has since blossomed to become one of his trademarks. With the release of the world is mine, he became known for bright red hair, elaborate makeup, and decadent, caped costumes. His showmanship also increased exponentially during that time, and his carefree attitude onstage earned him the nickname “FREEDOM.”

Impression

YUU [ユウ] is distant. He doesn't meet with members of other bands, post at his blog, or participate in many session bands. However, he seems to wholeheartedly support the members of Dali. In late 2005, he acted as a support bassist for SUGAR FORKFUL [シュガーフォークフル] and helped form Dali soon after. For unknown reasons, he left Dali for a few months in 2006, but joined the band again before the end of that year.

Dali's music is not bass-centric, but YUU's [ユウ] work plays an important support role. He gives the music its chic tone reminiscent of the SUGAR FORKFUL [シュガーフォークフル] days. YUU [ユウ] has changed his image over the years from a feminine one to a more masculine one, in part to support that new, chic image.

Shunna [旬奈] was, for a long time, the most accessible member of Dali. He was the only member to blog regularly to inform fans of the band's activities. Furthermore, he and Ren [苓] seemed to dominate offshot footage of the band. Unfortunately, Shunna [旬奈] seems to have changed in the past few months, having only updated his blog once since April.

Shunna [旬奈] is, first and foremost, a fierce drummer. His drumming brought a new dimension to Dali that the previous drummer could not achieve. He has also been known to contribute to compositions and seems to perfectly capture the band's theme in his personal style. Shunna [旬奈] is great not only for his drumming and style, but also for the fact that he has been so supportive. He previously played with Ren [苓] in the band Tsuki no Kakera [月ノ破片], and was ready to support Dali when a drummer was needed.
